Micro Presentations
How do you feel about presenting your business?
Whether at a networking event, exhibition or in front of a potential new client, we all have to regularly present our businesses in an effective and engaging way. The trouble is that, for many people, presenting simply doesn’t rank too highly on their skill set.
That’s a shame, because without an engaging presentation, those same people are potentially leaving thousands of pounds on the table, every single week. The trouble is that the vast majority of networking groups provide little to no training when it comes to presentations. New members simply cobble together a mixture of ideas from what they think are the best presenters in the room, only to end up with something which simply doesn’t generate any new enquiries for them.
And that’s a shame. They have the skills that people need, and indeed, many of them are considered experts in their chosen area. However, the potential clients that need them the most – and those would be willing to pay a premium for their services – will never know it, all because of a presentation which fails to create a connection.
Where are you now?
You’re networking – putting yourself out there, and you are getting some enquiries. The trouble is that you’re barely breaking even. What that will mean eventually is that you’ll quit, secure in the knowledge that networking doesn’t work.
You’ll go in search of the next marketing opportunity, and the next one, and the next one. You’ll spend tens of thousands of pounds over decades in search of that magical secret formula for your success.
Except that it isn’t a secret. You already know everything that you need to generate a steady stream of new leads, enquiries and paying customers. The only thing that’s missing is a killer presentation that gets everyone in the room wanting to know more about how to give you more business.
But I’m just not a good public speaker
Well, here’s the first piece of good news for you – you don’t actually have to be, Think about the last time you required the services of an expert – from a painter and decorator to a brain surgeon, you weren’t thinking about their speech making skills! You just needed them to be good at their jobs. You took a look at the quality of their work (slightly more difficult when researching brain surgeons) and you let that work speak for itself.
In fact, all those people need to see from you is knowledge and passion. Bring those two things into the room, every time you present your business, and the enquiries will come.
In fact, our students regularly tell us that they have left us thinking about their business in whole new ways. They’ve thought about what they can offer their clients and how they can position themselves for even greater effect, and they’re excited to try it and see what happens.
The transformation is truly palpable, and what’s amazing is that it doesn’t have to take months or years and endless amounts of homework and self discovery. Those changes will start to happen within the first hour of our working together! I’m sure you’re wondering how that’s even possible, but I invite you to come along and find out for yourself.
Of course, there’s a lot to cover and that’s what my coaching programmes are all about. You can choose from one to one coaching or workshops for teams. There’s also a ‘done for you’ writing service for those people working to a tighter budget and/or schedule.
However you feel I can help, it all starts with a free, no obligation discovery call. We’ll talk about where you are and where you’d like to be, and regardless of whether or not you choose to work with me, you’re guaranteed to walk away with a few tips to help you on your way to become a world class presenter.
